ABOUT KALLPA
In Quechua, Kallpa means "strength" or "life force." It’s the energy within all of us—the power to heal, transform, and grow. At Kallpa, we honor this sacred essence by helping individuals reconnect with their inner strength through ancestral wisdom, creating space for deep healing and meaningful transformation.
Kallpa was born from a long, personal search for true healing. After years of seeking, learning, and experiencing dozens of shamans and healers from many traditions, we formed sacred bonds with the most powerful, pure-hearted, and genuine guides—those whose energy creates real, lasting change.
Our vision is to share these extraordinary connections with others. We know the difference true, loving guidance makes: healing becomes deeper, transformation becomes possible, and life opens to expansion in ways once unimaginable. At Kallpa, we invite you to experience the power of these authentic healers and the wisdom of the Andean cosmovision, opening the door to profound growth, renewal, and joy.

BENITO APAZA
Benito Apaza Nolasca—from the Apaza lineage of the native Q'eros community-was born on February 2, 1960. As a Pampamisayoq, he was raised with all the traditions and customs of the Q'eros community, learning and practicing them from the moment he could remember, alongside his father, family, and his sister Maria Apaza-an Altomisayoq of the community. He also received teachings from Altomisayoqs Mariano Quispe and Pascala Apaza, who were born in 1910 and 1920 respectively. Altomisayoq Pascala Apaza was responsible for sharing the "Nusta Karpay" ceremony within the Q'eros community.
Benito Apaza has held the role of councilor (regidor) within his annex of the Q'eros community, entrusted with passing on the wisdom of ceremonies and prayers to the elements, according to Q'eros tradition. He was also responsible for teaching agriculture, weaving, livestock raising, and harvesting. These skills were transmitted to him by an elder grandfather, who taught him how to make a ceremonial poncho—a garment woven as a connection with Pachamama, using wool from the animals of the community and spiritually linked with Apu Wamanilpa (Apu Ausangate), the principal protector of the Q'eros.
For more than 50 years, Benito Apaza has been a teacher to Tito la Rosa (singer-songwriter) and many other master teachers and artists around the world. He is known as Q'ori Songo ("Golden Heart"; his gaze conveys the purity of the heart and the wisdom of a human being deeply connected with nature and the Apus (sacred mountain spirits).
